What coaching is not:

Professional coaching is a distinct service which focuses on an individual’s life as it relates to goal setting, outcome creation and personal change management. In an effort to understand what a coach is, it can be helpful to distinguish coaching from other professions that provide personal or organizational support.

What is the coaching process like? What happens?

When you call or e-mail us, we will plan a consultation session. That can be done via phone, skype or in-person depending on what is most convenient. We will discuss your current opportunities and challenges and discuss what coaching can do for you in your particular situation.

 

When meeting with the coach, you will clarify priorities for action, and establish specific desired outcomes. The coach will ask you questions about what your current status is, what you want, and together you will create multiple action plans to reach your goal.

 

A typical 6 month engagement will look something like this:

Is it Confidential?

The coaching relationship is a confidential one. 1 Smart Career does record keeping to include your identity, our financial transactions, and also confirming that you have received the coaching services you have requested. Your information is not shared with any outside entity.

 

Any notes taken are confidential. Certain topics from a coaching session could be reviewed with other coaching professionals for training and development purposes.

 

If your company requires any kind of confirmation or feedback, you will be advised up front.
